This command allows you to select two or more dimension objects and join to form a single dimension object.

Description

This command allows you to select two or more dimension objects and join to form a single dimension object.

The selected dimensions must be aligned or rotated type (It does not allows select parametric dimensions). The resulting dimension will be rotated type and non-associative.

The dimension objects must all be collinear, but can have gaps between them.

General Usage Instructions

To launch the plug-in, use the command JoinDim.

The following prompts are displayed.

Select source Dimension or multiple Dimensions to join at once:

Specify an object selection method.

The selected dimensions must be aligned or rotated type (It does not allows select parametric dimensions).

The dimension objects must all be collinear, but can have gaps between them.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk Exchange Apps has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1) or Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP), and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

Known Issues

JoinDim does not support parametric dimensions. The resulting dimension is non-associative.
